This mommy-to-be has no complaints. I'm feeling good, happy, and still running. So far I don't have the usual late pregnancy ailments like heartburn, rib pain, poor sleep, or fatigue. The nursery is painted and we are eagerly awaiting the furniture (which should be arriving in the next 2 weeks) and checking things off the pre-baby to-do list.
**How Big is Baby?: "Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain."
**Maternity clothes? Yes, although today I'm wearing a "regular" top and probably stretching it out.
**Total weight gain/loss: Up 17lbs (amazing considering the chocolate I ate the last two weeks)
**Stretch marks? No new ones
**Sleep: Still pretty good- I get up a few times a night to pee, but that's not new and doesn't really wake me up.
**Best moment this week: Getting home to my husband and puppies on Friday night.
**Movement: The baby was moving a lot while we were in Florida, and then it seemed like he/she wasn't moving nearly as much the last day we were there. Since there is any number of problems that decreased movement can indicate, I called and asked the doctor, who said it was normal for the baby to move less, as long as I was feeling it move everyday. I think the baby just moved into a different position. I also realized that when I sit still, I feel the baby more. So now that I'm back at my desk, I've been feeling a lot of movement. It's more like moving pressure (from a head, back, butt) rather than kicks or jabs (although I still get those). Plus, on Monday night I was awoken by kicks. That's a first!
**Food cravings: Nothing new. Just trying to eat healthier.
**Health/Exercise: According to Stephen, I'm waddling when I run. It's also getting uncomfortable. Saturday I had heavy pressure on the lower part of my bump like the baby was trying to escape through my belly button. I was thinking that my running days might be coming to a close, but then had pretty good and great runs the past couple of days. So I'm going to waddle on...for now.
**Labor Signs: None, thankfully
**Belly Button in or out? In and staying that way.
**What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery furniture soon and our birthing class on Saturday. Then a Dr's appointment next Wednesday.
**Quote of the Week: "Do you guys go to the baby store EVERY weekend?"- Josh
For the record, we've only been to the baby store 7 times in 6+ months.
**Milestones: Only 8-11 weeks to go!
